Selection of search system of the scientific citation index definition

Abstract

The problem of selection of a search system of the scientific citation index for open-Ukrainian scientific archives is described. Citation index is quite important, which can be obtained using the current search systems which are specialized in indexing scientific literature. Citation index value is determined by the number of references to the publication or last name elsewhere. To search for citations of scientific electronic archive of documents the characteristics of scientific indexation systems, the main of which are Scopus, Russian Science Citation Index, Web of Science, Google Scholar, are considered. For these five search systems of scientific citation index the objectives tree, consisting of alternatives levels, criteria and objectives, is created. The pairwise comparison of alternatives by certain criteria, including the largest weight criterion "Ukrainian editions coverage", is carried out by the method of hierarchy analysis.
